One of the best practices of the development of volunteerism in 2018 on the territory of Saint Petersburg was the opening of the «Center of City Volunteers of Saint Petersburg», which was created as part of the implementation of the concept of the Organizing Committee «Russia-2018» «Legacy of the volunteer program of the 2018 FIFA World Cup».

To conduct the UEFA 2020 European Football Championship, the Committee attracted more than 2,000 volunteers.
The center is a platform for organizing volunteers for almost all major events in St. Petersburg, as well as many activities within the system of youth policy.
